ABOUT ME

NICE TO MEET YOU

Hey there, my name is Tim Bradley. I am the oldest of three boys and I grew up in the 1970s and ’80s, making me a proud member of Generation X. During my childhood, I mostly spent my time skateboarding, riding BMX (Bicycle Moto Cross), hanging out, and blowing untold amounts of money at the arcade, and with the help of my two brothers and all our friends, experimenting with all sorts of things just to see what would happen.

That picture on the left? That was pretty much every day!  When you have limited Television channels and no internet, you have lots of time with your friends to dream up all kinds of mayhem. Why does that kid (my little brother) have a BB gun? Why is my middle brother grinning from ear to ear that I just jumped over him with a rickety old bike? And more importantly, why is the person taking the picture (My Dad) letting these kids do this crazy stuff?   Well, that was my life growing up.  It was Pretty Cool!

I decided to create my own blog partly just to see how all this website technology works. But mostly to reflect and share my opinions on all the wonderful things about growing up in that era. These days, my wife and I are raising a teenager who is a part of Generation Z, and we are thoroughly enjoying the experience. As a family and individually, we have a lot of different interests and I plan to write about that stuff as well.

I wish I had some stunning facts to give you about my qualifications to write a blog other than I have a lot of life experience gained from years without parental supervision. I would like to show you all my amazing feats, but fortunately, there were no camera phones in my childhood. So I guess you will just have to take my word for it. (I do have a few pictures that I could show you but they are mostly pretty blurry and out of focus).

I would be stoked if you joined me on this journey. I will try to provide you with content that is worth your time and effort.  Bear with me as I get started here, I am learning as I go which pretty much sums up life as a Gen-Xer

Thanks, Tim B.

Upcoming projects

I plan to do some unbiased product reviews that I have personally tried. And try and put up some of those crazy gen-x era pictures I talked about.
